Welcome to the Department of International Logistics.

My name is Sanggyun Kang, and I have the honor of serving as the Chair of the Department of International Logistics at Chung-Ang University.

Since its establishment in 2011, our department has grown steadily as a leading institution dedicated to cultivating top-tier professionals in logistics and supply chain management (SCM). Through the persistent efforts of our faculty and students across academia, industry, and education, we have achieved the highest research output in the field of logistics in Korea. We are also proud to have been consistently recognized as one of the most outstanding departments in Chung-Ang University’s competitive evaluation, encompassing over 60 academic units.

Today’s global business environment demands innovative decision-making grounded in data and artificial intelligence. To stay ahead of these changes, our department has placed AI literacy and data-driven education at the heart of our curriculum. We conduct more than 60% of our major courses in English, ensuring our graduates are equipped with the global competencies needed to thrive as logistics professionals. Furthermore, through joint research initiatives and regular conferences with leading research universities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, we continue to produce academic achievements of international standing.

We also work closely with leading domestic and international logistics companies through industry-academia partnerships, providing students with diverse opportunities to balance theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in real-world logistics settings. Beyond the classroom, we remain in close communication with student councils, clubs, and other student groups to support a rich and fulfilling university life.
